NOTE: DIVERS CHOICE SCHEDULING. For the 2011 dive season PELICAN is introducing a DIVER'S CHOICE for both In-Shore and Off-Shore excursions. DIVER'S CHOICE is LIMITED to the following locations: In-Shore: Tiger, Santori, Chesapeake Light Tower, and Artificial Reefs (Sunken Barges near Tower) Off-Shore: Powell, Morgan, Luckenbach. Divers will be assisted in their choice dependent on weather and sea conditions. There has to be a majority agreement on the location; Captain holds the tie breaking vote. Come with your suggestions, the decision will be made at the dock.

YOUR TRIP

2 Single Tank Dives

Each Diver will be required to sign a Boat/Diver “Release of Liability” prior to boat departure; http://www.pelicandivecharter.com/boat_release.htm.
Each Diver will be required to fill out an “Emergency Contact Data Sheet” prior to boat departure.
Each Diver will be required to present their Diver Certification Card that demonstrates the level of diving for that day’s trip or be accompanied by a certified instructor during a training event.
Each Diver will be required to have personal safety equipment that includes at a minimum; audible signaling device (whistle), surface signaling device (safety sausage, mirror) prior to entering the water.
Each Diver is responsible to bring their own personal gear that is in good working order, 2 standard tanks or 1 set of doubles and an optional pony bottle. (For dives over 80 feet a nitrox mix is recommended for an enhanced bottom time experience).
Two single tanks (not to exceed 125's) or 1 set of doubles (not to exceed 108's). Tanks larger than this tend to become a safety issue on the Pelican II Dive platform.
Each Diver may bring 1 spear gun and must comply with all boat safety rules. Spear fisherman will comply with Recreational Fishing Regulations as directed by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission. Bring a cooler (kept in your car) or plastic bag to transport your fish home.
All dive gear will be transferred to a bin system on board; NO dive bags allowed (Space Restrictions)
Bring a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt and rain gear. Some mornings can be cool. In winter, dress in layers.
Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Polarized sunglasses reduce water surface glare.
Protect your belongings from water. Ziploc bags work well. These can also be used for cameras, wallet, etc.
Please wear non skid, non marking soled shoes.
We ask that you please leave all glass containers at home.
ALL food and Drink will be transferred to the Community Cooler, NO PERSONAL COOLERS, Zip-lock and Sharpie your food & drink.
Due to the uncertainty of sea condition the Captain recommends the use of motion sickness medications prior to boarding the dive charter.

Trip cancellation policy.

The safety of our customer's is our top priority. The Captain reserves the right to cancel the charter trip based on poor weather conditions. The captain or Dive Quarter’s will give advance notice of a cancellation if possible. However, circumstances may warrant cancellation on the dock if conditions are not acceptable. 100% refund or Free Trip Ticket will be issued through Dive Quarter’s..... In the event of a cancellation and opting to take a Free Trip Ticket you will have to reschedule your trip through Dive Quarter’s and placed on a new trip manifest.

We have a 5 day cancellation policy. A cancellation made 5 days or less before boarding will result in forfeiture of payment. Cancellation made greater than 5 days will be afforded a choice of 100% refund or Free Trip Ticket.
